Background
Dean Jacobs is a world traveler, author, photographer, presenter, and Certified High Performance Coach™. While his career could have taken many directions, Dean chose to focus on inspiring students to see greater potential in themselves and in the world—drawing on powerful lessons from his travels to over 50 countries.

He delivers in-person presentations at schools but wanted to expand his reach by offering educational programs and tools to teachers in a more accessible, scalable format. As the depth of content he shares—especially with educators—grew rapidly, Dean needed a central platform to promote, organize, and distribute this information.

We recently launched a new website that serves both as a promotional hub and a platform where teachers can subscribe to several membership-based educational programs.

Design Considerations
SVML designed Dean’s logo and supporting materials to reflect his adventurous spirit while resonating with a broad audience—including educators, corporations, philanthropists, and students. We also created distinct logos for his educational initiatives, such as The Wondrous Mississippi and Dream Big Live Tall.

Dean’s photography, rich with vibrant global imagery, became a key visual asset across all brand touchpoints, helping to bring his message to life in a compelling and authentic way.

We’ve had a long-standing partnership with Dean—supporting his brand development and creating digital and print materials that span both marketing and educational use.

Challenges
As the website was being developed, Dean’s subscription-based content was expanding and evolving in real time. This required frequent design adjustments, content restructuring, and messaging tweaks throughout the process. While this presented some complexity, it also gave us deeper insight into Dean’s goals and ultimately helped us refine the end product.

Another challenge was integrating the membership platform with his broader marketing tools. With help from a skilled associate who brought the necessary technical expertise, we were able to implement the integration smoothly.

Success
The new website launched successfully, and educators have begun subscribing to the programs. Dean’s mission—to share his experiences, inspire learners of all ages, and create a better world—deeply resonates with our team at SVML.
