Background
As America’s first Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Broker Dealer, Roberts & Ryan was poised for growth. They approached SVML to create a website that would establish credibility and serve as a launch pad for future expansion.

Design Considerations
Roberts & Ryan already had a logo with some brand equity and a basic website in place. However, they needed a more sophisticated, scalable site—one that better represented their values, expanded their identity, and could evolve alongside the company.

Building off the existing logo, we developed a cohesive brand system and a website that reflected the firm’s rich history, top-tier financial services, strong commitment to veterans, and overall professionalism.

At the heart of the website is the company’s identity as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Operated Broker Dealer—a defining attribute we emphasized throughout the design and content strategy.

Challenges
Roberts & Ryan assembled a leadership team of high-level veterans—many with deep Wall Street experience—alongside other seasoned financial professionals.

Our challenge was to communicate design and messaging ideas to a group of experts with strong, and sometimes differing, perspectives. It pushed us to sharpen our communication, refine our approach, and truly stand behind our creative decisions.

In the end, the collaboration was both inspiring and rewarding—and it gave us the chance to prove our expertise in a high-level environment.

Success
For over five years, we’ve continued to maintain and expand the Roberts & Ryan website, ensuring the message remains clear, the content stays current, and the company’s growing list of accomplishments is well represented.

Our work with the firm has grown beyond the website to include the development of ad campaigns, the design of marketing materials, and promotional videos.

Now operating as a NYSE floor broker, Roberts & Ryan continues to grow—setting the stage for the next generation of their website and digital presence.
